Aaron's Guide to Style.

Brynn has been amazing in helping me dress better over the years. For the longest time, my only prerequisite for wearing anything was "is it comfortable"? Apparently, there's more to it than that. Here are some tips I learned from Brynn to be more stylish! I still have a long way to go, but she's helping every day.

1. Just because you think something may look too crazy, doesn’t mean it is!

I can’t count the number of times we were in a store and Brynn picked out an outfit that I thought was totally crazy. "I could never wear that,” I thought to myself. But sometimes I give in and the funny thing is that most of those crazy options actually end up becoming my favorite items. Sometimes you just have to go outside the box a little bit and give new looks a shot!

 2. Coordinate your colors

Brynn has been encouraging me to try dressing in solid colors top to bottom. And by this, I mean solid white. This has been super fun to try out with white shoes, pants, shirts, etc, together. I always feel really fancy and have fun doing it! Plus, it makes the coldest winter days feel brighter.

 3. Fashion can be very comfortable

Don’t feel like you always need to dress in a suit to be fashionable. These days, even just a fitted T-shirt with nice fitting jeans can work wonders. The important thing, for me at least, is just to make sure that the clothing is in decent shape and fits well. Depending on the style you’re going for, you can definitely make your outfit the best feeling thing around.

4. Have a solid suit option

Even though you don’t always need to wear it, you should really have at least one or two suits to add occasionally to your wardrobe. It will come in handy in the event you ever have a last minute fancy get together. Or, simply wear the suit any random day if you're feeling like it. Nothing wrong with that and it always is great to dress up every once and a while.

5. Get an actual watch

These days everyone uses their phone as their clock. It’s hard to remember, but it wasn’t always like this. Lucky for me, Brynn bought me a brand new classic watch in Hong Kong. I wear it everywhere! It simply feels so elegant to have a watch to check the time on. Plus, I'm trying my hardest to stay away from my phone as much as possible and this has been a big help.
